Would a 850 be a decent candidate for a bike engine swap? I know nothing about them, except the one a neighbor had in the early 80’s, that was sSLOOOW. .

Looks like it might be, but I'm not that sure.  If you want me to look at it I can probably swing down there sometime this week.

I'd have to research a bit more on front suspension/transaxle. And he'd have to be interested in some kind of a trade - and I traded the only street ready thing I have! If its worth anything, by the time I work all that out, I'm sure it would have a new home!

Thanks for offer, though.

In reply to 03Panther :

I wanna say the front suspension on these is transverse leaf with kingpins. Its quaint. About the nicest thing I want to say about it.

If you're genuinely interested, user BurritoEnthusiast (think that's what he's calling himself these days) has had several and knows them intimately.

Hey, John ! Sorry I missed ya the other week. I’ve worked the last couple a weekends, so the days... or I should say nights ... run together.

I’m interested for sure, but very strapped for cash. Haven’t gotten any projects sold as is, and haven’t put any time in ‘em either... but I have a couple engines that would make it about as slow as stock... but cooler. I can’t help myself!

That's looks in incredible condition for a Fiat.  They are an around town car, but they have been raced with success.  Id be surprised if it lasts long.
