I picked this car up, and on the way home, got to asking myself, "What the hell am gonna do with *this*?!?" Either I sell it, or I have to keep it and run it.

It has sideways-facing jump seats.

A friend of mine had a ‘74 Country Squire when we were in college. We used it one summer when we were painting houses. It was better than any truck or van could ever be.

Picture for the folks w/o FB.

Wish this came up a bit earlier, I've been thinking a lot about replacing my truck.

Sorry, guys. I wasn't really thinking about those of us who don't use Facebook. Here's the text of the ad:

This is a 74 that was apparently hit very early in life, and had a 75 nose, hood, and right fender. It has 55,620 miles, factory air, power windows, intermittent wipers, and a 460/4-barrel (engine code A). As much as I would like to run it, it's a little too rusty for my limited facilities to work with, so it probably needs to go to someone who will use it. $2500.

Unless you want to haul tall things upright.

The best part of the wagon when in "haul mode" is the ability to get at stuff at the front of the cargo area, from both sides.

I added some pics of the interior to the original Facebook post. Here’s one, because I can only post one pic per day, or all the other ones turn into the last one I posted.

I don't need this.  I'm not sure what I would do with it.  Would you like to trade for a BMW?

Yes you do.  So I can live out my 70's Ford wagon fantasies vicariously through you. cheeky

I'll have to take some, but sure.

Great news! The 460 cranked on its own tonight, and after replacing the spark plug wires and dumping a little gas down its throat, it ran!  Looks like it'll need a fuel pump to be called "running," but it's two big questions answered.

The bad news is that the $2500 asking price just got real firm, and will probably go up as I work through the other systems and get it closer to "driver" status.
