Thanks its in down right amazing condition. Anyone need u tube video. Shes orig orig orig. :) :)
Looks nice outside, under hood has quite a bit of age. The heater hard lines and turbo inlet have definitely been messed with or replaced. Lots of surface scale, was it ever in the salt?

I had no idea what the SVO market looked like these days so I checked BaT and it's surprisingly soft. These used to be THE collector Ford of the 80s and if anything they've gone down in value.
Thanks but not messed with. Orig ford date coded hoses. The car was ziebarted when. New. Even the zeibart sticker looks like put on yesterday. Thats the way a ziebarted engine compartment looks like. :) :) oh and never been in snow . she has been kept as a garage queen. In 1994 had 9k miles on her from orig owner i am 2nd owner. Orig 83 date coded tires. The engine sticker with scan bar is clear as day. Dated 8/25/83 car finished 10/19/83 early build too. :)

I've owned over 50 Turbo Fords and used to run a restoration business for them. Those are not OE hose clamps and you do have corrosion. The brackets on the throttle body and the fuel pressure dampener should be bright golden zinc for example and there's surface rust on your water pump pulley and bolts.
Having a good detail person go through your engine bay to get it up to the level of the outside of the car will go a long way towards getting you your asking price. GLWS
Here, let me help. Everything circled yellow should be bright zinc, everything circled in blue is rusty and should be either black or bare cast, everything circled in red is incorrect, and everything circled in teal needs repainted. There's also the battery that should be replaced with a correct replica.

Lol lol lol thanks for comment. I have had 56 low mile cars in my life . none none are perfect . every car has flaws. Its a car. And not to complain but For a 38 year old well technically 39 year old built in 83. that has been driven on the road. In Chicago and had been purchased in dealer in chi town and remained here her entire life. And has been kept pretty much this orig. This car shouldn't even exist let alone have surface rust really surface rust on a bolt in a rust belt state. This is 99.5% rust free here where i live. Lol lol :) also everything is still gold plated even the green bolt that holds on the hood light is still green . and did i mention the ziebart experts prob did not spray on like u would there is ziebart on top of front lights even. On top of hinges on hood where it meets rubber stopper. Everywhere.

Looked it up because I was curious: https://www.guyswithrides.com/2022/01/28/1984-ford-mustang-svo-auction/
$15,300, not bad.
I'm surprised you didn't put it in Bring atrailer. Things are bringing crazy prices now there.
I salute both you guys. 50? 56 cars? That's pretty wild especially owning 50 Turbo Fords.
Cool car!

Meh, not really. https://bringatrailer.com/search/?s=mustang+svo
That gen Fox body are still pretty cheap. 20k is all the money for a perfect v8 4 eye.
Okay Javelin did we ever meet when I was in the Navy? We used to have a group of turbofords that sometimes got together at Pacific Raceways. I used to own an 85. If I get another I want a rattier one to do a modern ecoboost swap.
These are neat cars - not too long ago (like 5 years ago) you could still find nice, high mileage examples of these in the ~$5K range. It would be cool to see a 2.3 Ecoboost in one of these.
In reply to AnthonyGS (Forum Supporter) :
Probably, I raced there a few times in the 04-08 range. My main Turbo Ford was a red on red 88 TBird.
In reply to FatMongo :
I keep searching for the nice high mileage ones again with little to no luck. Most are overpriced. This one is not overpriced but it's far to nice for what I would do to one.
In reply to Javelin :
It would have been in 04 then. I can back to TX in the late summer of 04. I had a dark met gray 85 SVO. You probably met Paul with the really fast red 86 too.
