Not a bargain if he wants 7k. That's a 1.8 so a 7k car finished. It may need another couple grand to complete and lots of hours. If I'm wrong and it's a 2.0 it may be a 10 to 12k car but still not a bargain. And the bare shell would have to b.c.e rust free. 914s are very good at hiding rust. Almost as good as 356s and early 911s.

If it were mine, I’d put 911 power in it since everything is apart and I already have a 2.0 lt. Quality of repair is in question as well. 7k invested could mean extensive panel replacement.
