The car is a 93 hardtop with the 2.2-liter non-turbo engine and 5-speed manual transmission. It has a bit over 190,000 miles on it now, and unfortunately it does have a number of issues. At this point, it's probably most honest to refer to it as a driveable project car.
-Sometime before I owned it, the car was hit in the right rear and not repaired well. The paint on that side is several different shades of white, and it looks as if there's some body filler that's started to crack on the rear quarter panel.
-The car has power steering, but it works intermittently. The electric power steering system is a bit too complex for me to diagnose, but I suspect it's an electrical problem.
-It has AC, but that isn't working.
-The trunk leaks on occasion. Not sure why it's just sometimes.
-The brakes really need to be bled, but they stop the car as long as you're prepared for the low pedal. The car is supposed to have ABS, but it's never worked the whole time I' ve owned the car.
-The parking brake doesn't work well because the hardware that connects it to the passenger side caliper has gone missing.
-The hood has quite a few rock chips and there are some spots of what look like yellow primer on the front bumper cover.
-There's an occasional engine tick that could be an exhaust leak, or something lifter-related. However, the car passed its most recent emissions test (last September, I believe).
-The interior is in decent shape for the age, but the driver's seat does have some wear on the left bolster.
-A recent development is the car will occasionally fail to start--I think that's happened to me twice over the last couple months. In both cases, just jiggling the battery cables reset something and the car started fine after that.
In terms of options, in addition to what I've mentioned that doesn't work, it does have power windows, power locks, cruise control and the armrest/firewall storage cubby that was standard on the turbos.
All in all, the car is in rough shape and needs someone willing to restore or upgrade it. I'm not going to oversell it, but for all its flaws, it never let me down. While shopping for its replacement, I drove it from Chattanooga to Atlanta to Gadsden and didn't have a single problem on the drive.
All that said, it's a rare car, particularly because it's a hardtop--the vast majority of these cars had a sunroof or T-tops, both of which make the car heavier. I acknowledge all the car's flaws, but the car's rarity also makes it hard to price. The best I can do to set a price is look at what recent cars on ebay actually sold for (as opposed to what people are asking on current auctions).

Based on those sales, I'm going to ask $3,000. If you think I'm deep in "I know what I have territory" and you can point out similar or better cars that sold for a similar price or less, I'm open to offers. I don't want to be unreasonable about the car's price given its condition. I'd rather sell it than hold out for that last dollar forever.
