Okay this is back available.
Fire Sale price. $950 Firm.
Make it disappear please. This probably should be really considered a drivetrain donor or parts car vs a repair and use car.
You get all top end rebuild parts (includes head bolts, gasket set, Timing set, water pump, mahle MLS gaskets, and spare heads) and the car on stock wheels with no good very bad tires. Dealer diagnosed "bad exhaust valve" so this *Should* repair the drivetrain and make it a 220K mile WRX drivetrain with new head gaskets and timing belt. Trans goes in all gears in the limited driving i have done (seriously like 3 miles) it doesn't seem to have 2nd gear issues or anything.
Car has good bumpers, trunk lid, original hood, interior is nice so this would probably quickly part to $0 for a challenge donor of a EJ205. Or use it as an entire drivetrain donor for a GC8 WRX build of your dreams. Whatever you want as long as it doesn't happen in my driveway. Car starts/runs but needs a battery and the brakes are not the best after sitting for 3 years.
Old listing below.
2002 WRX 5-speed, 220,500 miles, Illinois year round use car.
The good:
It's a cheap WRX.
Comes with timing set, water pump, head gaskets, head bolts, and a good set of heads to repair bad exhaust valve.
Clean title no Bill of sale only shenanigans here.
Overall body condition is pretty okay other then where rusted. No huge dents, a few small scratches and a small crease in the front fender (Other then the rust obviously)
Interior is not bad at all.
It's all there.
100% stock. Was just someones car. It was dealer serviced until traded in when the exhaust valve went bad. No modifications that I have found.
The Bad:
Bad exhaust valve. Car runs, drives, stops, but I would not drive it far.
High mileage
No good tires. Comes with OEM wheels and I can include a set of 17x7 Toyota wheels that have tires with treads on them but very old.
It's Crusty. I'm not going to sugar coat it. It's not great underneath. It was used year round in Illinois. The sills are kinda missing and there is some through rust on the rear frame rails above the subframe. Also the quarters have some holes. I will check the front and rear strut towers tonight to ensure they are not basically missing. I had looked a while ago and they seemed okay but I will give them a good poke around before someone makes the commitment to come see it/buy it.
Also both front lower arms need replaced. Not like.. NOW.. but before substantial driving is undertaken.
This would make a good drivetrain donor, or donor for a GC8 WRX swap, or 818 kit. This is not an excellent repair and make it your enthusiast WRX. Sill covers are intact and in the car.
