I'd double and triple check that it's indeed the regular fuel pump and not the HPOP. I've had similar no-start symptoms on mine at some point and that was a combined engine oil pump and HPOP issue. Cheap to repair it wasn't, and that was with a mostly serviceable HPOP.
You can remove the filler/inspection screw on top of the HPOP reservoir in the front of the engine and check that there is enough oil in there (should be around 1" below the opening IIRC - I'd double check that) as a starting point.
