They did say that it was a little loud. I wonder if you could get classic plates so you don't have to go through state inspection? Would be worth the looks until they finally pull you over. This is perfect for dealing with tailgaters in city traffic!

No inspection! Come on, think of how fun the sniffer emissions test would be.

Seriously, here in MD, it is old enough to qualify for either historic or street rod plates. Historic needs to be largely stock, but street rod plates can have different drive trains and engine swaps. All are limited mileage registrations, but no safety or emissions inspections. So in theory, this would be allowed as a street rod.
