$1500 - - but I still want to see one with an MX-5 or even a Pinto drive.
And the lie "I'll scrap it". No, ya won't. It also won't bring the $900 "offer" you claim the "local scrap yard" gave ya.

I'm with him. It looks like it's probably worth $1,500, and I would piss that away and send it to the scrappy rather than deal with an endless parade of Facebook cheapskates offering me 50 and 100 or trade for a pair of roller skates.
In reply to bearmtnmartin (Forum Supporter) :
I didn't question the value, or mention $50.
I also wouldn't deal with the public. But starting out by being an azz hat, ain't helping.
One guy had a car I was interested in. When I offered more than scrap value, to save it from the crusher, he told me "I've already been offered $550 from the crusher." I asked where, as I had a few to take, and the ones around me only paid $185. His response? "Well, I get dealer pricing"
Right. Dealer pricing. At a junk yard.
No thanks, I'll find someone that ain't a lying con azz hat.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I want to like Neoclassics, but I just can't.
Maybe I don't get it or (more likely) I'm not the intended audience.

They're just ugly.
The proportions are always screwed up because they're trying to be something they're not and trying to work with components that will never fit the bill.
Recreations are great when they're well done like Pur-Sang or the cars by Fran Roxas.
These cars are not recreations of any kind.
That thing, seen through the right eyes, could be the ultimate sleeper. Stupid horsepower, killer suspension. Everyone expects these things to be total garbage.
Think of the trolling you could do?
