He guys and gals, I'm selling my daily driver BMW 540i 6 speed. New rotors and pads all around, as well as fairly new tires. She runs beautifully, and has never left me stranded. Has cold A/C, heat, heated seats and steering wheel, and power everything. I am the second owner, and have all the original books, records, tools in the trunk, and even the window sticker. It was $57,570 new! I am a European car mechanic, so all routine maintainence has been done. Body is in very good condition, it has original paint so hood and roof have some
clear coat fading. Don't want to sell her but I have to many cars must sell 4,500 obo. You won't be disappointed with this car!
Guessing a 1999 or 2000, based on the wheels & lights.
I think it's a 97-98 car based on the heated seat dials.

When I'm shopping for a car (which I'm not), if I have to guess on year, mileage, price, location, or the availability of pictures I pass right away. I judge a car and its seller based directly on the ad.
I did not realize the 5 series v8 had such pedestrian gas mileage 15/24
Looks like 14/22 on fueleconomy.gov.

I was just going by what the window sticker in the picture state, but damn
My e39 M5 was even worse. Talk about a pig on fuel economy!
Hey guys, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. She's a '98, and she has ~160k on her. The instrument cluster has the common problem where the pixels go bad, so I can't give exact mileage. Just did the valve cover gaskets today, as well as replaced the copper crush washers going into the power steering pump.
Has the mpgs you've been getting in that car been as bad as those are reported to be?

I don't think that's bad for a full size V8 car, the /6 cars only got 28 highway.
22mpg would be an improvement over what I get in my STI.
I just wish so bad it was "time" for me to get a new dd. I could cry.
