This pic is from BMWCCA Octoberfest 2012 when it was still being raced. 2300lbs wet with my arse in the seat. It looks the same now, albeit somewhat dustier and minus my arse, engine & trans.
I will get more pics for anyone seriously interested. It was a pretty well sorted race car that just never had enough power for the class I was trying to compete in. I changed classes and it's hogging garage space. Consider me a motivated seller.
Here is what it was like with a bone stock S52 & ZF trans...
Youtube video
It is much quieter now without an engine.

$5k obo. Car is in Northeast PA and I can deliver it within a reasonable distance or winch it onto your trailer.
Can an a moderator please fix the subject to read GTS instead of CTS?
Out of curiosity, what happened to the engine and trans?

It was a stock S52/ZF combo. It was not competitive so I bought a monster race motor... which I then thought better of and re-sold. I put the S52 into my new IS race car which I purchased as a roller with a blown motor.
So... now I have two race cars and only one of them moves under it's own power and is competitive in it's class so the other one must go to a new home.
My kids still talk about that car once in a while. Good luck.
Consider your title changed. Also this may or may not be popping up on our Facebook page today. Good luck!
That car is awesome, I wish I has the cash to get it and drop a new motor in it. Good luck selling it

I love that thing and want it desperately, but it's just not a reality. GLWS.

If you are seriously interested but don't need all the "extra" stuff I can cut it down. Like I said... I'm motivated to clear the space for winter. I figure the 3 sets of wheels are and easy $1100 and the new lexan window is a steal at $400. If you don't need 'em... subtract. The only stuff that has to stay with the car are custom things like the front bumper, hood, wing supports... because I can't do E36 M3 with them otherwise.
Bring your own 5 lug E36 wheels, a trailer and $3500. That gets you an ugly, caged roller project with most of the bits you need. I'll ebay the rest. I'll even wash it and bolt the calipers back on so you can stop when rolling it off the trailer
Back to latest topics for another go...
Around to the front page again... lotsa good stuff there in an ugly box... make an offer.
How much would an engine and trans be?
Add to the 'wrong side of the country for Snow' list.
GLWS!
