NMNA, I just remember this car’s lineage and almost bought it from someone else a while ago.

In reply to Robbie :
I had a dyno of about 90whp with the mods on a poorly tuned chip. With the better chip it was probably closer to 95whp. The shortness, narrowness and the fact that it weighed 1790lbs helped a lot.

No. Not just no, but Oh hell nah. berkeley no. Ain't no berkeleying way. Not that someone can't enjoy it and all... Just not for me. Ever again.
I would take that engine to stuff into a lotus 7 though.
Funny---- I used to live in Crystal Lake, went to H.S. there too. That was long ago, before all the farmer's fields turned into houses.

No. I want it for a Spitfire.

Fine with me, I call dibs on my steering wheel.

Can you elaborate on why you don't want it back?
In reply to KyAllroad (Jeremy) :
Chassis stiffness makes a wet noodle look like a titanium rod.
Lack of parts availability.
Slow steering ratio. as narrow as this car was I thought long 7-cone slaloms would be awesome. I was wrong. You're literally crossing your arms trying to make it and still smashing cones.
Terrible gear ratios, the 1-2 shift is a huge drop (8k to 3900 IIRC)
rear suspension design makes getting decent spring rates tough for autocross because you only get about 60% of it due to the weird design.
one wheel peel all day every day. If you don't get bog.
Its a rolling coffin. I had a corbeau fixed back and a Toyota Vibe (maybe a Pontiac matrix) went past and looked like a Suburban.
Body panels that would concave if an adult human leaned on them.
195/50/15 rubs. Everywhere.

You’re not kidding... I had a friend get killed in a Geo Metro outside West Lafayette in 1995. He was t-boned by a 1st-gen CRX, and it pushed his driver’s seat to where the center tunnel had been. I also remember the bumper support was a styrofoam block.
In reply to bobzilla :
My buddy owned one and his big complaint was lack of aftermarket performance parts.
In reply to Fueled by Caffeine :
Problem there is then it weighs as much as the Civic with less power. I'm not saying it can't be fun, but it'll never be fast.
I really want it. I miss my old swift. I would have to free up a parking spot though and I’m not sure I’d sell the 911 to get make room.
Fueled by Caffeine said:Ohh crap. Crystal lake is two towns over from my in laws. Too bad I go to Thailand this weekend.
15 minute drive for me.
E36 M3.
Not sure the ad mentions it, but 2 owners ago was the guy I originally bought it from. He had contacted me and was checking to see what parts were still left from my build. It still had the Koni's, had a different set of coilover setup IIRC, the Cusco upper mounts and the header. The rest of the exhaust was more normal sized and quieter and it had been lightly smacked on the left rear corner.
