Looks a bit rough arond the edges and more than I would pay, but still. Too cool not to share.

The engine might be worth $3k but it's possible in agreggation the X1/9 is worth -$$.
I like it in theory but wow.. lots to change and do to make that work. Unexpected removed firewall.
But Busa powered things are fun..
Builder got too carried away with the sawsall for sure. Busa powered anything is generally a good thing (same displacemenet as a stock 1974 X1/9) but he is not getting almost 5K for this.
But the overall concept is awesome as you can see in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meZAZ8qZ5so
For my money, I'd go with a K swap, as the car is still intact when you are done.

I'm not sure it has to be quite that far forward but it does need to be further than you think because of the chain.
The packaging isn't great, ask me how I know lol.
Yes, you would know for sure!
K-swap is basically a box for the intake (where the spare tire normally goes), notch a frame rail for the transmission and the subframe from Midwest Bayless and start hooking it all up. Not sure my plans for the one I just picked up, but this could definitely be the plan for it. Been wanting to do one for a while now, but have to build my shop first.
