The one I have is the MaxiDiag Elite MD802, I forget if I got it from eBay or Amazon, but it was an "Authorized Dealer". Very capable for a broad range of cars, but a friend who borrowed it to do something on a 2018 Chevy truck couldn't get it to do whatever it was he was trying. Functions vary between makes and models. I recently reset the maint light on an '05 Corolla - I selected it in the MD802 menu and rather than reset it it gave me a very simple set of instructions involving turning on the ignition and holding the odometer trip reset. It directly reset the light on a Cayenne.

Nice.

Discovered today that the Snap-On Modus will not give any useful data for Atlas engines. It's a freakin' Chevy amd it won't give me camshaft position data!  I don't follow the cult of Snap-On, I like tools that work. smiley

So, um, how poorly do these things swallow 4x8 ft sheet goods?

Not going to fit. The back is just under 48" width and just over 6' deep with the seat folded. There is a sturdy roof rack.

Figures.  I’m probably less worried about length fitting, but dropping flat would be good.

Probably for the best.  Sleepywife is similarly afflicted with Porsche-mainta-phobia, and they are on the “thou shalt never own” list.  So, you just saved my marriage.  cheeky
