Finding the rust statement hard to accept also. Got mine out of PA a year after it arrived, took to CA. Quarter panels still rusted out. Best handling FWD I ever drove with no power. A prius could beat it off a light.

You need to get over that bias.....go try an R53 MINI CooperS. FWD can be very entertaining.

I have to agree. My Omni GLH was a hoot, my classic mini was hootier, my R53 is hootiest. Right on par with my NA or any car I've owned. It's just VERy different. I remember with the GLH I could stear the back end with lift-off throttle in a corner. But a REALLY thick rear anto-roll bar will do that lol.

the only issue is they are just full of rust. They came pre rusted off the boat from Italy.
but. Ohh my.
I very nearly bought one of these, in that color 25 year ago. Only one I've ever seen that had absolutely no rust. My brother talked me out of it. I'm still unsure whether I need to forgive him or buy him a bottle of Scotch.
