I miss mine, so much fun to toss around.
That is until I look in the engine bay and remember how badly they would beat up my hands when I worked on them. Damned tight bays and there was always something sticking out to catch your hands on.
The tight engine bay requires careful efforts around thermal management and the shift linkage will need to be repaired (if it hasn't already).

Dare I say that these are getting rare enough that keeping it stock would be a better option? Granted a megasquirted 2.4L would be awesome, but maybe in one that's missing the motor or already been modified beyond belief.
I'd still like to have one. I remember my dad test driving one back in the day and the grin on his face when he'd stomp on it. We couldn't afford the entry price, so he ended up buying a stock automatic instead. (Which was still fun to drive and would outrun my buddy's '87 Mustang 4 cyl. Something I took advantage of and reminded him off quite often!!).

Interesting that it's still a T1. It's 1000 too high IMO but they are getting harder to find so prices are going up slightly.
