I'm looking to move this car since it rarely gets any use, since finishing all the major work I wanted to on it and driving my Miata instead.
I'm located in Everett, WA. Craigslist link is below with public pricing but will do half for a GRMer.

Heck of a deal. I hate to be that guy, but: I wish it was on the other coast.
I'm surprised that motor fit

With some room to spare too! I think I had to do some finagling but I was able to take off the valve covers on both sides to replace the gaskets before.

You should send it to Finnegan and Freiburger. They like weird stuff like this
I remember seeing this build in progress on the Ultimate Subaru Messaging Board! GLWS!
Maybe I didn't see this build on the USMB... the guy over there that did one used an '83 RX-7. Are there that many people circulating out there who are swapping Subaru engines into formerly rotary Mazdas? Or maybe the same guy swapped multiple Mazdas? Were you on the USMB, Thomas?

The previous owner told me it was a not-uncommon swap, but the swap itself was done by the owner before him. So if you saw a build thread for this car, I didn't post it. I did try googling for it but couldn't find anything about this car specifically.

Cool swap!
Did the BRZ transmission bolt up to the EJ22?
What solution was used for the starter motor location?
Which flywheel and clutch was used?
Thank you!

In reply to 900 :
The BRZ trans did bolt up to the EJ22 for the most part. I think a couple bolts were left unused on the trans side.
I believe it was the stock BRZ starter and OEM BRZ clutch and OEM BRZ flywheel.
