Ad says:
Mint Beautiful Red Interior, Body No rust, Garage Kept, Front Fender damage. Brand new fender in box included. Never had a chance to install. Starts right up and runs fine. Posting this ad for my father on facebook. The car is in really great condition. One time the car was taken out of the garage to wash and my father forgot to put the hand- brake and rolled into a tree in our driveway. We never had a chance to fix the fender but other than that it is in great shape. The part was ordered to fix but never installed. Car is a beauty but we no longer have time to take care of it. Our loss is your gain.
That looks like BAT flip bait. Have a paint shop match the fender, fix whatever trim it needs on corner, some derp will probably bid it to 30 grand
also the hand brake story is hard to buy into because automatic
Definitely flip bait if it was not an automatic, who buys one of these in 1981 as an auto?

School teachers. At least the one owner that I knew of (my sister and her husband.)
I'm not sure when the speedo changed but I remember my sister's having this dual track gauge.
Outer track for speed, inner track for tach.

I had a 1979(?) Prelude with the combo gauge, so I'm guessing that '79-80 had that one, and then '81-82 had a normal setup.

Interesting! All three non-facebook ads list the same mileage as each other, which is a bit less than 200 miles under the Facebook ad. If I had to guess, it's the same car, but the Facebook ad is the guy that bought it from whatever dealer those three ads were ripped from. The current owner has only put <200 miles on it, and is frustrated by the body damage and realizes they're not going to drive it, so are selling it.

I think you're right. I don't see the fender damage in any of the links and the FB ad Videos looks legit.

everything seems to add up, but the weird handbrake story just doesnt seem to make sense.
If you're actually interested one of these...here's the one you want. NMNA
And it's a stick shift too!
I bought one of these back in 1997 for $100. Got it from the original owner. I put $500 worth of work into it and drove the snot out of it. Engine wasn't as tight as it once was...every time I started it there was a nice plume of blue smoke. The longer it sat, the bigger the plume. I just kept an eye on the oil level and all was good. Damn thing got 35-40mpg without trying. It was slow as molasses, but fun as hell. The sunroof was absolutely huge for such a small car. I sold it for $800 around 1999 or 2000 to a kid who delivered newspapers with it. I'd love to have another... No, that doesn't mean I'm going to buy this one.
