I think I am ready to let go of my SVT Cobra project car. It has a clean title in my name, current Washington plates and registration, and needs nothing to drive wherever. $7500 OBO and it's only listed here right now. I am not very motivated to sell it unless a 68-70 AMX comes up in my price range but I will definitely listen to a GRMers offer.
Major Specs:
- 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra hardtop, 159K miles
- Power windows/locks, cruise ABS, Mach 460 sound, A/C (most of which works)
- 4.6L DOHC all-aluminum handbuilt "Romeo" V8, 305HP factory
- T45 5-speed manual (33K mile unit from a 97 SVT 'Vert installed August 2016, with receipts)
- 8.8" SRA (35K mile unit from an 04 Mach 1, so 1/2" wider and 3.55 gears, installed myself September 2018)
- 13.4@104 1/4 mile with the old 3.23 gears
- Oregon SCCA CAM Season Champion 2018
- Passed National SCCA Solo/ProSolo Tech and was mid-pack competitive with S550's on Rivals
- Officially scaled at 3260 Lbs with 1/3rd tank of gas
- Originally a Red Metallic over Tan leather car, no red paint left anywhere

- Mercedes Gunmetal Black Metallic paint, Blue/Red 3M vinyl stripes
- 99 SVT Cobra rear spoiler mounted to the far rear of a base V6 spoilerless decklid

- No foglights, some brake ducting rigged up that's removed
- Black/Tan CLOTH interior with dual MANUAL seats

- Optima red-top in a custom steel cage (still in the factory spot)
- Tint, done well, a little dark

Engine Mods:
- BBK long-tube coated headers, 3" catless X-Pipe, 3" dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40's and dumps

Spares:
- 17x9/17x10.5 FR500's in silver (banged up - I'd rather like to keep these for sentimental reasons)
- (Used) 2x 275/40/17 Nitto NT05, (Used) 2x 235/40/17 Falken Rt615K+
- Original rear axle assembly with good 3.23 gearset and new differential carrier and Ford Racing LSD, needs spider gears and a straight housing
- 35K mile stock 04 Mach 1 rear brake calipers, pads, and rotors
- 35K mile 04 Mach 1 stock rear UCA and LCA's, rear sway bar
- Near complete Graphite 04 Mach 1 interior (carpet, door panels, rear panels, kick panels, door sills, STEERING WHEEL) with Graphite/Grey 02 Cobra seats (leather/cloth, front and rear). Basically you'd have to dye the lower dash and center console and you can replace everything else with the spares and have a complete Graphite interior that's in waaaay nice shape.
- Oil catch can and lines
- Box of bolts, nuts, plugs, wiring, random brackets, etc, etc, etc that came off the car or with spares or whatever
I really would like to put the nice interior in the car, put some different tires on it, and really enjoy it on the street but it's also a ridiculously good track car right now. Being at minimum weight in CAM-C makes it competitive, and if you actually optimized the car for autocross it could be waaaay better. As it sits right now it's incredibly fast at Track Night in America at Portland International Raceway with it's loooong straights. GPS/data logger verified 122+ MPH V-max. This car would be ideal for the new SCCA Time Trials program. Put in a roll bar and go slay! Or gut it and turn it into a drift missile. Or swap the wheels/tires and go drag racing.
I would like to do all of that but I have a new project, 3 jobs, and grad school going plus buying a house so more than likely it will just spend the next year sitting. Pry it out of my cold, dead fingers for $9500 OBO. We can certainly talk about a lower price without the spare interior and/or wheels.
