Since I can't keep them all, I need to move this one along. This car was posted here on the GRM forum years ago. It was a link to CraigsList ad posted by the daughter of the original owner, following the owner's passing. At the time, the car had 8k miles on it and seemed too good to be true. It wasn't. This car was the little old lady church and vacation car stereotype. I sent the link to a good friend and we picked the car up within a week. It was everything he wanted and more, and he was able to use the car regularly for 20k miles with no more than maintenance (of course). After he replaced the car with the world's most perfect Focus ST, I was able to buy this one.
The car was professionally detailed a couple of months ago. It has been driven very sparingly since. It does have a couple of SMALL imperfections in the paint, commensurate with age and lack of use-- a couple of small chips and one spot of discoloration from an old bird turd.
Since buying it, I've replaced the tires (new Coopers!) and front brakes (new Centric rotors and pads!). It needs nothing. Seriously.
This thing has been garage-kept its entire life. Much of that time, it was stored with a fitted Budge car cover on it. The cover is perfect and will be included. I have both factory keys, the manuals, receipts for many of the services, all of the stuff that you'd expect for a car with 28k miles on it.
Look at the pics. Ask questions. This thing is as close to perfect as one of these can be. Until it moves along to the next owner, it'll sit in my garage. I'd trust it to drive anywhere, anytime. It is ready to go to a new home. I have a clear, signed, notarized KY title ready to transfer to the next owner. If you're in state, even better: the tags are good through next January.
