Asking 2k - Located in Middle, TN. It CAN NOT BE TITLED - it was a pre-production car.

It looks much better @ 50ft then close up, and the interior is a mess of wires and rollbar tubes right now. I'll try to get some detail pictures ASAP.

I think I want to focus the herd, so here we are. I got this from it's original owner in MI where it was race from the factory as a Show Room Stock Class car. It has 5k original miles, but sat for 14 years (I think?) before I drug it back out when he sold it. It looks pretty terrible right now, but it just really needs a bath and some polishing compound - I removed most of the decals, but they weren't happy about it so some residue still here. It's a "race car" paint job, and it shows, was originally white - is now yellow (from the previous owner). I had to nuke the interior because of a mouse infestation, the smell fortunately didn't stay with the car. Battle tested, it's been run at Road Atlanta, Barber, and NCM with 0 issues what-so-ever.

BUT if you want to just drive, this thing runs like it has only 5k miles. It starts every time, never gets hot, makes good power, etc. The cage in it is suspect at best, you could clean it up and fix the welds, but it'd probably be easier to just remove it and add in your own. The hood is plasti-dipped and the wheels are as well. Has the ford racing spool valve coilovers. Really old, ugly polly bushings (needs replaced, but I sure didn't feel like it...), and the "trunk kit" swaybars, etc. It is a fantastic driving little car, it won't let you down on track.

I've replaced the oil, front glass, brake pads, and tires. It probably needs the softlines replaced for preventive maintenance, but no bulges in lines, etc. 1 year old r888 205s. Includes out of date front seat, but no belts or passenger seat.

Comes with spare trans, though you'd be hard pressed to need them anytime soon....

That looks like it would be a hoot to drive.

It is! And you just flog it and it doesn't mind, just hums along.

Alternative uses include: Using the nearly new, tight engine in a RWD application via:

I have an adapter and headers to go with it.... I might just keep it and make a crazy locost with it???

you may say that it can't be titled, but I challenge the notion that it can't be tagged.

I'd been thinking of the same thing, but works been a bit crazy and I've been a bit lazy (meaning it hasn't happened)

Uppity! This would make a pretty sweet rallyX car too.

Ok so I guess I just bought (was given) this car? Our phone call was a little chaotic as usual. I have to figure out when to get to Tennessee to get it.

Anybody want a Panther body cheap?

Edit -- Just clarified the comment above. Accordianfolder is going to keep the spare engine and some other stuff he got, but I bought the car.

He said he was going to try $500 just to move it out, so I said sure, why not.

So Monday after a job interview I am driving from Missouri to Tennessee and then back Tuesday. We have all done dumb stuff like this, yes?

I'm going to try autocross and hopefully do a track day. I have never done either before and this way if I bork it somehow I still have my DD.
