I need to remove this temptation from myself. Customer yesterday had this sitting in his yard. Said that he bought it to restore in his retirement but it's rusted more than he wants to restore now. Told me free to a good home but he wants pictures of the build. He greenlighted making it a race car. Bottom 3 inches pretty crusty. Looks like floors are gone. Florida title with a Florida issued VIN. Contact me for his info.
oh man. You should contact the 3 younger guys who did the Black BMW LS turbo.
Looks prime for a chassis swap. The bottom 3 inches will come off easily allowing the body to sit lower.
I love that early 50's business coupe profile but that's beyond my skill set.

That fits almost exactly on to a Crown Vic wheelbase. One week build.

I'm not shy about asking about things and I try to work my hobby into every conversation. That's how I've gotten into several garages and barns.

I thought hard about that. But I don't need it, and when i want to do that i have a 53 belair in much better shape with the glass and trim plus a 1995 caprice 9c1 chassis for $100 all in whenever I decide to go get it, and it's already in ohio.

Yeah..the missing parts scare me more than the rusty parts. Even if the missing stuff is around, what are the chances that the correct fasteners and bits are still there? Not to mention every single bit of rubber trim.
That said, I think the concept would work well for little $$$
