I am giving this thing away for free to a GRM'ER. This is what it used to look like in its glory days.
Now it looks like it has been sitting outside under a tree for 5 years because that is pretty much what it has been doing. I have removed the roll bar and the engine transmission combo. It has a set of crappy s10 wheels on it with rotten tires.
It has a good LSD rear end. It has hawk pads front and rear and bilstein shocks. The front suspension and steering are still intact. The hood is still in good shape as is the windshield.
Slap a carburated 350 in it and a race seat and have an instant challenger contender. Salvage the rear end and hood and scrap it, I don't care I am sick of looking at it.
Located in Jacksonville Florida. It does not have a title, since I bought it from copart with a CD. I will give you a bill of sale if you want one.

Do you know what gearing is in that rear end?
In reply to SV reX :
I think they are a 7.5 10 bolt in 4th gen cars. I could be mistaken however.
I've sent that picture around to a couple friends as a piece of trivia -- see if they can figure out what kind of car it used to be. The t-tops will help a lot, but otherwise I get strong Saturn SC2 vibes
In reply to P3PPY :
The hood line gave off a little Ford Focus vibe to me.
Bump because this is the perfect start to an envelope class champion.
This Trans Am has held down my trailer for long enough. Still free with the added bonus of being on a trailer. I can deliver within a couple of hours for gas money.
In reply to Stampie :
Selling things for $0.00 doesn't help you outbid me on the TR6.
In reply to wvumtnbkr :
It's a whatever you want it to be but originally a manual. There's no engine/trans.

I don't need help to outbid you. I need space for a TR6.
Bump again for the one person in the world that needs a 97 Trans Am shell. If it isn't spoken for in the next few days it'll be going to the great junkyard in the sky.
I have rough plans for a challenge car that could possibly use the rear and front cradle. Long haul to get it back to Va, though the price is certainly right. Let me talk to my teammates when i get home tuesday.

Sorry for the delay but sounds good. Let me know.
Trans Am is spoken for pending pickup/delivery.
Ownership has been transferred to the man with the cool Saab.
Good to meet you Stampie! Thanks for the easy pickup, I think that was the fastest, least trouble I've had loading a car with no drivetrain.
The Saab's a beast:

I wish I could have taken a little tongue weight off, but the uhaul tiedown arrangement really doesn't give you much leeway. Car got 14mpg towing home like a champ.
It was great meeting you also and yes that unload and load went very well. Hope to see you in Gainesville soon.
It has been 6 days. Where is the build thread?
