It has been done. A Jaguar Mk 9 is a very desirable piece with the original 3.8 DOHC six or done up with a V12 and more modern suspension underneath it. In fact One Gentleman in New Zealand has one done up with a 5.0 V8 Supercharged Jaguar in it. Which must be a truly thrilling piece at full song.
I'd hate to be looking for doors for one.
Wait until you find out how heavy it is. Poor old 3.8 was working hard in these.

The kart idea has more merit than joke. The chassis frame on these is massive and rigid.
