Putting the Cramit up for sale. Just bought a house and could stand to put a few bucks back into my savings account and I think I'm just ready for something different anyways.
Details: It's a t-top car, black exterior, tan interior , 108,xxx miles and I think I am the 4th owner IIRC. I've owned the car since March of 2014, at which time it had 73k on it. PO put I think 13k miles on it in his 8 years of ownership. The Cramit was my DD and sole car up until about a year ago, when I got my XJ that has mostly taken over DD duty. Has Koni shocks, Strano springs, UMI 35mm solid front bar, 24mm solid rear bar from a 3rd gen, OEM Speedline Corvette Z06 wheels (staggered setup), braided stainless brake lines, Flowmaster cat back, SLP air lid, MGW short throw shifter, Turn1 PS pump and an aftermarket PS cooler...think that's all the mods. Supposedly has the Monsoon stereo, but the head unit has been replaced by a Sony. All of the above mods were added by me, save for the cat back. Additionally, in my ownership I've done the front wheel bearings, front calipers, changed all the fluids save for the coolant (just haven't gotten around to it), and probably a few other odds and ends along the way.
Exterior is in pretty good shape, I'd give it maybe a 7.5-8/10. Car has been garage kept most of its life and it shows, although has spent the past 4 months living outside. Paint has some chips here and there and light scratches, but overall in very good shape. Has aftermarket headlights added by the PO that may or may not be to your taste. This is also far and away the most rust free car I've ever owned.
Interior is maybe 5-6/10, definitely has a few issues but no one is buying a 4th gen Camaro for the interior anyways. Has leather seats. Driver's seat is pretty much beat to hell, was when I got the car and has only gotten worse. Passenger seat has a number of small tears (can thank my dog for that.) Rear seat was removed at the beginning of this auto x season, but I have all hardware and parts. Will probably put them back in before the sale, if time allows. Dash recently developed a crack, the panel with the switches for the windows and power locks on the driver's side has liberated itself from the door panel, and the lock button on the passenger side has been pushed through. The car has been smoked in, but I don't think it reeks too badly.
Other known issues: Will pop out of 3rd gear every once in a blue moon, something (likely the alarm system) is putting a very slow drain on the battery that will run it down enough to keep from starting after maybe 3 or so weeks. T tops are mostly leak free, there's just one spot around the passenger window where there is a chunk of weatherstripping damaged that will leak in certain car washes (never when it rains, just certain automatic car washes that hit it at just the right angle.) It will need new rear tires pretty soon, but the fronts are nearly brand new Continental Extremecontact DW bought this spring that have maybe 2-3k miles on them. Think that's about it.
Overall, it's been a great car that has never left me stranded, I'm just ready for something different. Fun on the auto x course (won my local CAM-C class last year in it), competent as a DD, and even great at long highway runs, cruising effortlessly spinning 2k rpm at 80. I've spent a fair bit correcting some of the car's more glaring inherent flaws and I promise it is no comparison driving this example back-to-back with a bone stock car. It stops and turns great on the suspension setup and would be an excellent starting point to start adding more powah.
Looking to get $7200, though I could knock that down a bit if you want it without the Z06 wheels (have the stockers with crappy Fuzion tires or a set of Firebird wheels with old but good tread Coopers that could go with instead.) Very much open to trades as well, though my non-negotiable requirements are 1) must be cash on your end (see house purchase above) and 2) must be manual. Lightweight and rwd also strongly preferred, Miata would be perfect. That said, my tastes in cars are rather eclectic so don't be afraid to try me
Will post pics this weekend, needs a bath at the moment.
