Oh no, I'm afraid that might be a car of JVL and I hope that it's not so (though the Volvo parts is a bit of a dead giveaway). If it is the buyer will be getting a beyond solid deal and have a wealth of knowledge as a resource in assisting them in future plans for the car, I'll be very sad to see him hang up the helmet though.

It's probably one of his disciples who got talked into building a super bitchin' rally car only to run out of money. John's a smart guy but he tends to oversell his vision of a rally car to folks who will never be able to finish it.

though he hasn't entered an event in over a decade, he's stated that he'd consider running again if he felt it could be done in a financially responsible event for him. Though I imagine he'd run the Alfa.

Forensic study indicates that the add isn’t from JVL. Nowhere in the ad does it use insulting language to describe Sub-a-rats, Mister-Bitchies or Trustafarians.

Further there is no mention of Xratty, Super Bitchin Suspenders, Vive-La-Prols or any green paint.

I think he's done some co-driving over the last couple of years plus the Thunderbird TSD.

I don't know the guy as I live in the heaven that is Michigan rather than the cloud cover that is the PNW, but I've followed him for years on Special Stage pre and post ban plus Rally Anarchy, although he seems to be pissing people off there to a massive extent though. I'm sure he's a kick ass awesome guy, but there are a lot of not so complimentary stories about him from people who feel seriously ripped off by some of his engine stuff over the years. Suspension gets nothing but praise though.
