Recently sold on EBay for $5k. No price, just swaps.

Been in contact with the seller, won't budge off $5,000; Ebay buyer bailed out on him. If it wasn't so rust free I would poo poo the whole thing as a lot of money for what it is. There has to be one similar closer to home.

Again with three different wheel selections in the photos, but now without the orange paint. Description says 8 cylinder automatic, I see a straight six with a stick. (same location, same door dent)
I'm guessing the orange was either vinyl or plastidump... seller probably wants $6k now that's all one color?

It's at $510 on eBay with no reserve.
i saw that, i wish it stayed there lol
This thing is like a bad penny.
I guess he couldn't get his shill bidder to bid it up high enough so he canceled all the bids and relisted it.

I KNOW WHATTTT I HAAAVEEE

I seriously doubt that's that's more than a $3000 van anywhere.
I mean yeah, it's cool but there's a ceilng...... Like the $25k Saturn that's been posted around.
Guy claims he had it sold for $5k with the Gulf stuff on it, he bailed on the deal because he didn't get money for everything invested (at retail) pls labor.
He was holding out for $9,000.
I like the $6500 pickup much better!
Cooter said:Now he is at a $4500 BIN.
I really don't think he is doing this right...
Hes not. A 2 seat 12mpg 78 window van is not an easy sell. add in the manual and the average person is running screaming.
A shorty van with a 300 is awesome to me, add the manual and its even more awesome. Its not $4500 awesome. Its $1500 awesome every day of the week for me and i could see up to $3k for the right market and buyer.
I can't tell if this one is an overdrive or not, but 12 is really low for the 300. I was getting 18-19 out of our '81 on the highway with OD. And that was doing 80 MpH early every Sunday morning trying to get to my Hare Scrambles races on time after we overslept.
Even in the city fully loaded with a half ton of soda during the week, we would get 15.

The 89 Clubwagon i have gets about 12mpg no matter what, loaded heavily or not. It has a c6 so no overdrive.
12mpg is the worst case scenario imo

It's like he's holding out for Hoonigan or Nitro, or Roadkill to come along and go "oh wow, this is awesome, here's $2k over your asking price"
Wow, what a putz!
I don't have PayPal and offered the guy a Money Order or Certified Check. He wants cash via Registered Mail. Not happening, could get lost or an unethical person could say "you're $1,000 short".
He goes off on a rant about how I'm an unknown and a scammer trying to buy outside the Ebay system. Certified checks and postal money orders are insured, I don't get it.
Best I don't buy it.
