Never been to this site before.  Looks like an auction site, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm SURE it's a total risk, but from the photos the rust doesn't seem too bad.  Honda parts won't be easy to get but I'm sure someone resourceful could find parts that fit.  That cheap, though, might be worth the risk for a fun little commuter.

How do you think the guys getting the mini trucks, Nissan Pao, and Japanese Minis are getting them? It’s a legit site, just remember shipping, customs, duty, etc. All extra $$

I’ve bought 8 cars from that site and imported the, no problems. Search any craigslist for kei and someone like this will pop up,

https://lancaster.craigslist.org/snw/d/brandamore-jdm-4x4-kei-mini-truck/6964060876.html

that’s where he is getting them.

OK, so when I looked, the Beat was $1501 and shipping to Texas, made it $2296, which is why I said within 20% of the Challenge budget.  I know I'll have to get it titled, inspected and registered in Texas.  What other fees would I need to be aware of?  Looks like at $2296, it comes with the documents form the shipper.  And, is the $1501 the current auction price, or could I, in theory, buy it for that?

(BTW, I'm not seriously considering it right now, I was just having some fun surfing last night.   I'd really like to have an Alto Works one day, though.....)

The $2296 is what you can buy it for. There is 2.5% duty, unloading fees, broker fees, etc. Basically a bunch of $25-$300 fees, that add up to @$800 on top of the duty.

So I had to look at the Korean options (driver is on left), 15 year rule (Canada) Hyundai Porter and the shipped price is $800 less if shipped by RoRo and I know where the yard is - the desire is strong.
