I had an 84 rabbit with rusted out fuel lines behind my house. A guy stopped by with a shortened Cadillac ambulance with a high compression 472 and side pipes. He offered to trade for the rabbit plus $300 (as in I give him the $300). It is to my eternal shame that I turned him down. I'm sure it was hacked as all hell but I eventually fixed the rabbit and traded it to a friend for a rusty CRX that I ended up selling so it's not like I was particularly attached to that rabbit.
ahh the ones that got away.
