1966 Impala. 6cyl, 3spd column shift. Matching numbers. few blemishes, but a smooth runner. GRM price is $8600 will help you ship.

Cool old car, great story!
You might want to think about BAT'ing that thing.
I've tried to get it featured, I guess they're just not interested. I'm having trouble bringing myself to fork up the $250 to list it on their auction site though. It'd be more than just a little hiccup if I listed it and it didn't meet the $8600 reserve.
Surprisingly enough I've had about 4-people contact me through craigslist at the $16,500 I have it listed there for. My plan was to lower it to a more reasonable level come spring time when people started cruising again.
Oh lord, not only is it on the right coast, it's within a hundred miles of me

I kinda wondered why you had it listed locally for $16.5k when you indicated here that you were more in the $9k range. If I had $9k to spend I probably wouldn't even call someone who was asking $16k+.
The other issue I think you may face is that it is a 4-door. To me it is not a biggie, but I have known lots of domestic car people who just can't deal with 4-doors. Honestly I think this affects the smaller cars like A-bodies and X-bodies more than B-bodies, but the bias is still there.
Yeah, I've ran into the 4-door issue once or twice. With an Impala, I don't understand it but I get that a 2-door Chevelle is more desirable than a 4-door.

Dude, anytime you want to rotate the tires swing on by and snag the keys ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/wink-18.png)
Need a fancy ride to make the rounds this christmas?
nope, still available. I dropped it down on CL to $13,500 for the new year, GRM price is still the same ($8600). I leave the CL price high because I'm not in any hurry and you never know. When the sun comes out this spring I'll get serious and drop the CL price closer to the GRM price.
I love the car - have always loved 4 door hardtops. My wife just rolls her eyes though.
My wife does the same thing. That's why I bought it when she was out of town
(to be fair though, her only requirements were "a car that can seat the kids")
Good times
