Howdy, all. So, my tolerance for driving my 2011 Crosstour EX (130K miles) is waning. 22 city MPG for two more drive wheels than I need and a backseat that is perpetually empty.
That said, the CR-Z has been on my list for a long time. I'm known to my friends as a weird-car-liker (Nismo Juke, Conquest TSi, etc.) and a hybrid that's fun to drive and has a 6-speed MT is right up my alley. Oh, and of course ~40 MPG is pretty great, also.
I'd love to do a straight trade but I know that's astronomically unlikely. I'll probably end up selling the Crosstour privately and (hopefully) having a CR-Z waiting to be purchased same day. I've flirted with Carvana and CarMax and others, just to see what's out there, but I wanted to see if the 2(?) people here with CR-Zs had any interest in selling OR if anyone knows a CR-Z owner who's looking to. I'm about 30 minutes west of Knoxville, TN, U.S.A., Earth.
Just an FYI, they get substantially less than 40MPG with the 6-speed (only the CVT can really touch those numbers), and a Fit gets better real world MPG in many conditions.
I was cross-shopping them before I got a Fit and was really, really disappointed after driving one and talking to owners. There is a butt for every seat but it was a really underwhelming car even as someone that likes weird cars.

Interesting. That could actually sway me towards the auto but I'll have to see. I'd be over the moon about 35 but I'm not so sure if there was something else sitting next to it that got 45.
40 mpg with the 6 speed is doable. I had one for a few years would get 38-42 mpg without trying depending on fuel blend. Much over 40 mpg requires hypermiling, I don’t think I ever got less than 35 mpg.
Good luck on your search.

Just to throw another idea in the mix, I had a 2012 Mini Cooper S (N18B engine) and behaving myself I could get 40 on the highway. Not behaving still 30mpg...
I had a 13 or 14 6mt for a while. I enjoyed it as a peppy daily driver.
The previous owner had put it on sports springs and struts (Konis?) which I liked. He also had added a cold air intake and exhaust that weren't too obnoxious.
However he put it on 17 or 18 inch cheapo rims that probably weighed a lot more than stock. Also, a Mugen spoiler that looked awesome, but probably added drag. Thus, I never really broke mid 30s MPG, I probably averaged 32ish in mostly city driving. Interestingly enough, the car really liked the Sheetz E88 gas and bumped my MPG up about 2mpg consistently.
The 13+ is great if you can find one. The interior is black instead of a light gray that shows a lot of dirt. It also has a Sport+ button that lets you bump the power for a few seconds by using the battery charge for extra passing umph. The 16s had some additional facelift updates.
Supposedly you can fit the Fit air intake runner very easily to get a touch better power delivery.
In all honesty, I'd gladly go back to driving one. I enjoyed it for what is was. I think others are right that the Fit is more practical, but I like the small runabout concept.
GRM side note, there are ~30 that had a Honda Performance Division dealer-installed supercharger kit. One comes up about once a year. Last one sold through Carvana a few months ago for $18k. Consensus is that it's neat, but doesn't add enough power to really light the CR-Z up. For that, you go K-swapped!
Those are around if you look, with various installation quality. They say it's a really good drive with the swap, but you lose the hybrid at that point. Probably $10-20k depending on how nicely it was done.
