It's probably this one. I stumbled upon it yesterday:
Soccer mom's love H&R springs...

1990 wagon 300 te. I6. Gasoline. Runs and drives.120k some rust. Needs rear shocks.has H&R springs.
Thanks Woody! My son's been looking at that car for 5 years; either it hasn't moved or the guy parks it in the same spot all the time.
It's the latter. Ian called, met with the seller who bought it after his boss' wife tired of it. He lowered it with H&Rs and put on 245 - 18s which rub all over. Runs well, needs to be left outside for a few days with the doors open; it's kinda funky musty in there. Blue leather interior.
Ian bought it for $700 because it will haul things for work around the house and a small pickup can't be had for that. It came with the stock wheels which Ian will clean, repaint and put tall snow tires on, AFTER removing the H&R and raising the ride height.

That's cool. As mentioned, I had seen this car on FB the day before, but the rusty fender scares me. One of these cars really fits into my needs right now, though I know for sure that I will cause a E36 M3storm for bringing one home. I saw a beautiful green 300TD in the grocery store parking lot yesterday that looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Wife was with me, so I did a second driveby and made some comments to lay the groundwork.

I saw the beautiful green TD on the road twice again yesterday. That's three times in the last two days for a car I've never seen before. Little old lady driving it.
W-124s have a wonky VW, Audi etc. bolt pattern w/RWD offset. The goofy ones on the car now are going cheap to free once he gets the factory wheels cleaned up.
Ian found factory springs (new) for $25 each, he's coming up in a few weeks and we'll install them.
Have you seen the car yet? They mentioned a little rust in the front fender in the ad. I’m curious how extensive it is.

This information really isn't helping me ignore a horrible decision of a 500 SL that is being sold without wheels...

That's actually quite nice for the $$ (if it truly runs, drives, and is rust free as they describe it)

Yeah, he sent me pictures but I don't fell like posting them. For $700 in CT, it's fine, $700 here and it's ready for the crusher.
It's not horrible, surfacey rust. As a Beater with a Heater, you scuff and shoot with a rust neutralizing paint. Hope for the best. Goes bad, put a sticker over it!
You saw what he did to the 900S, time and artistic talent. Ta-DAAAA, double the money and interest. This boat will float.
Look under the winsheild washer bottle for rust/rot on that w124 wagon. There will almost be guaranteed rust around the fender liner.

^Nice!
And I saw the green wagon again yesterday. Old woman driving, with an old guy in the passenger seat. This car is torturing me!

5x112 is soooo close to 5x114 that you can pilot the openings to 14mm from 12 and run them. I know; you are likely to kill a school bus full of nuns but you’ll look cool. These are my Mazda wheels, 14,000 miles on the Benz.
Also, I have the stock coupe springs if you can ise
them...

Kind of disappointing. Nothing about this car was going to make me fall in love with it. It was solid and no rust, and the interior was fairly nice, but the clear coat is peeling badly, it needs a water pump immediately and it stinks of gasoline as soon as it starts, but only inside the car.
