I had a similar MG 1100 4-door sedan handed down from my brother. It had the 1098 cc engine, same as the contemporary Sprite and Midget, but in a transverse-engined front wheel drive package. So, it was mechanically a Mini, but a little bigger and a lot heavier. In '67 the Sprite and Midget went to the 1275 engine, so I presume the MG sedan got the same upgrade before being badge-engineered into the Austin America. The 4-door versions were rare. This looks like a good opportunity for someone, if you can still find parts to keep the Hydrolastic suspension going.
