And I've rebuilt Series Rover frames. These frames rot in specific places. Unfortunately, it's usually at pickup points. Caps aren't necessarily a bandaid. It depends upon how you install them. The key is getting debris out, creating the drains, like jeep should have done and treating the inside of the frame. This is the downside to box frames.
Rest of old tub is off. Removed all but 2 old mounts so far. Frame will need a rear cross member and 1 or 2 mounting brackets. The tailgate is also worse than I thought so that would probably be better off replaces, especially as I've seen good local ones for 50 to 75, with hinges (although I'd still do the hinge pin mod).
Will to entertain trades. Or group trades, like this, a couple of bikes for a gc8 coupe project or something else interesting.
Guys I found a very nice rolling frame locally at $1600. I could forward the info and/or do the hardest part of the swap for not a lot of $$, if interested. His frame looks sweet
