That looks like an m-sport. Nice deal if it is, best of the non-M E36s.

Nice. The airbag thing scares me a little. Sensor? Connection? Or just the manufacturer telling him to have it checked??

Wow that looks like a LOT of car for the money.

Airbag thing is usually the seat sensor going bad. Most people don't replace it but just put a resistor in the plug so that the airbag goes off no matter what's in the seat.

I wish I had $2500 lying around and was back in NJ. I'd definitely make an offer on this car.

It is a lot of car for the money. If I was in need of something (and SWMBO wouldn't kill me ) I'd be driving it. He took good care of it, just has the typical BMW interior problems.

Apparently he has had quite a few calls, so if anyone in the area is interested, move quick!

Air bag light is just the car begging for a Momo wheel and 40lb diet (there are 4 airbags).

I had a 328is just like that in black. It was a damn fine car. It needs an LSD, the 'is' was an open diff unless the buyer optioned it separately. That is only a $400 problem though and it lets you put a 3.38 from an auto in to make it quicker too ;)

I assume someone here is already in negotiations?

Or the seat belt sensor - the ex's '97 M3 was constantly throwing codes for that. It drove here nuts. After the local dealer replaced the belt assembly twice (at $300+ a pop) she bought the Peake SRS reset tool. Whenever it would throw the code she'd reset it and that would usually "fix" it for a few weeks.

I agree - if I had the cash on hand and the room I would have been down to see him yesterday. That car sounds like a great foundation for the track-rat/Spec36 I've been pondering.
