If you noticed how I put the make and model in quotes, there's a good reason for that.
Well this wasn't the car I was looking for, but it caught my attention. And, as soon as I read the description, I felt compelled to share it with you all.
Before you read the description for yourself, any guesses on what the donor car is? I laughed when I found out.

My guess was MR2. I was wrong. Very, very wrong.
That might be worth the $15k if it had been "completed", but as an unfinished project.... Just say no.
Before clicking the link, I'm going to guess. Chrysler Sebring?
HAHA! The example he gives for "it'll look like this when complete" isn't even complete!

I was guessing some E36 M3ty Chrysler product.
I struggle to understand why anyone does this. Surely it's more work to finish a project like this than can ever be worth the 'reward' of having it finished.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Maybe it's because we think differently, but all that time and effort can't be worth it--not to mention how much money ends up getting sunk into the project as whole.
And then there are the 'finished' projects that just fill me with sadness...
I'd still prefer the Mercury Cougar that was turned into a Veyron.
For another $5-10k, you can get the real thing now! 04's are getting cheap.

Wow, you're right. A quick search showed Continentals in the low-to-mid-$30,000 range.

I would really appreciate the team who brings one of these monstronsities to the $2000 Challenge.
Even the pony is ashamed to look at it.
In reply to DeadSkunk (Warren) :
Yeah I was gonna say that's getting close to real one money.
