The one owner is 98 years old, his family took his keys. Interior is nice, he was likely the only person ever in it. Tires are from 08, stored in a moist environment, there are some bubbles and crust underneath, not from salted roads.
Drives like new, all service done at a dealer or German Auto Service.
I'm very close, have garage space and think that I could sweet talk them down to $5500 or less. Please ask me to test drive it, I'll get interior pics later today, I'll drive by it six more times today.
if that's a manual trans, it's a steal.
if it's an automatic, it's worth buying and converting to manual.

I think it would indicate a specific selection when it was bought or replaced at some point? I though all the trim on an E36 M3 would be shadowline. From Googling while typing this it would seem I'm wrong about that. Plenty of E36 M3s with chrome kidneys.

I'm pretty sure he means "who wants me to offer $5500 as proxy for you, the actual purchaser".
Also, holy crap yes that's a great price for that car. I sold my crashed 200k POS '95 ///M for $2750 3 years ago, and the tide has certainly risen on these cars since then.

Well aware, and wish it could/would be me - I think this would be great, but it would need to take the place of (and, at cost), the 318ti and the new Miata.
