OK Frenchy, YOU do it.
I'll stick with my opinion "It won't be very easy to make a COMPETITIVE challenge car out of it".
You're probably right, because it's wide and long which means it has to travel a lot further to get around the cones.
That's the conclusion I arrived at when I considered bringing down my XJS.
But is Winning what the challenge is all about? It appears to me a lot of guys do it just for the fun of doing it. Am I wrong?

Nope...hence the Gastropod class this year.
FB says "No longer available - sold or expired".

Good, I didn’t need the temptation.
I’ve always liked these old T-birds, but a lot of people that buy them end up not liking them. I think it’s a case of incorrect impression. They are not sporty at all. .
I think a 351 Windsor and an AOD with whatever performance mods could be done on the cheap makes more sense than a 460 and whatever trans you would want to bring with it. Early 90's truck would be a nice donor.
I think a 390 with a stick is just fun, screw trophies.

I'm just glad it wasn't a BulletBird, or I would have been very tempted.

and i've been thinking way too much about how combining these is exactly what i always said i wanted to drive, because "life is too short to drive boring cars."
i'd do the latest Windsor in the largest displacement, EFI of course, with a 5-speed stick and a mid-3's posi.
but then i think about occupant safety and stay in the late-model stuff for daily use.
You're the guy that bought it? If the paint was uglier, I would do a Bill Stroppe tribute Bird.
BTW: Show on velociity, "Handbuilt Hot Rods"; is the head handbuilder Steve Stroppe related?

EDIT: Disregard.
