I thought this guy was delusional but he might just know what he has.
Make sure you scope the last photo.

Guess I'm not good at scoping...what's the engine? I don't recognize it.
Anyone in that part of Texas that can scope it in person? I'd kill for another AW11, but wondering if this is nothing more than a parts car now.
20v 4age, should be a fun swap when running. If it's not rusty that's probably a somewhat reasonable price in today dollars.

A bit of a whisky bump on the left rear:
Along with that bump, verify that the trunk actually closes:
Busted drivers door weather stripping is likely the source of water intrusion:
It's a sunroof car so expect some loss of headroom if that's important. I'm also amazed that the radio surround looks to be in good shape and the ash tray is still present. Crank windows are more desirable than electrics.

That's something I didn't think of- check the taillights, I bet if they were submerged there's still water in them.
The car does seem to be just one good power washing away from being worth $500 - $1k more. That's not to say that I really think it worth $2k in it's dented and non running state.

Yep, that's why I'd want a set of eyes on it. I saw the broken weather stripping and am concerned about water.
I've had two AW11s in the past, they are some of my favorite cars ever. The "good" ones are getting to be crazy expensive, so if I ever find one that could just be a driver I want to look into it.
I had a '88 SC from '00-'04. Loved it!
My memory is foggy. Research axle half shafts. In '04 they were hard to get and that was nearly decades ago.
More fuzzy memories...I think there were two different trans. The beefier trans being from the SC. People doing more power swap, like this 20v, would swap to the stronger trans but the half shafts now for that rare and stronger trans are difficult to find.

Could this be the same car as in the padandwheels site???? From that site, this picture seems to have a Texas Flag.

You guys sure are picky. It has been MONTHS since I have seen any slightly interesting car in my neck of the woods for that kind of money.
I used to be really into 1st gen MR2's and even had one back in the day. I don't know much about that engine swap but if it is (presumably) a big bump in power over stock that could be one fun little car.
They realistically make about 145 hp even though rated at 160. The blacktop really is that much better - had both in my MG midget project and was surprised at how much better the blacktop was even running it on silvertop ecu with maf.
regardless it should be a nice bump over stock.
