Wow ! That's even more hideous than I imagined. 

That looks much worse than I expected a beetle truck ever could. 

I was expecting some glued on bed from the people who brought you the Rolls Royce VW kit.

Is that a Pug?

I opened this thread with NO expectations.  I was not disappointed.

There used to be a Beetle in town here with a pickup conversion. No mods to the engine, the bed started about halfway up the body. And people complain about the load height on modern pickups :) It looked fun but pretty useless.

Might have seemed like a lot because they had no idea what they were doing and might have been seriously vision impaired.

This is what I was expecting too. 
 

Sadly I can't unsee what was actually posted. 

I could make it look good, can even see it in my head, but maybe for $100 not $650

more kei truck front end and finishing the back of the cab better and a nice little flatbed. I'm sure it's absolute trash mechanically since the diff is missing the pumpkin, and it should probably just get recycled, but I see where they were going and it has potential
