These things are dangerously slow stock. I had a friend that looooved his, and I drove it once. That was enough. 0-60 in something like 35 seconds when new. UGH

My pre TDi Jetta with a 1.6 diesel ,the "Big block" compared to this one, made 52hp.  You looked at the world the same way a bicyclist does when it came to hills.  I would forget what state I last bought fuel in though.

My 80 caddy had the 1.5 diesel! Rated at 49hp it topped out at 66 mph
