Is that blue thing on the right a flat bed?

From this photo, I'm guessing "no".

That looks like somebody mated a Citicar with a Fiero.

Don’t do drugs.

That looks like a Bond Bug with 4 wheels. Interesting.

That's quite a collection. For a sense of scale check out how small the King Midgets sitting behind it are:

Yeah, I do too. I was just thinking about how an electric motor and a cvt could be a really optimal setup.

If this thing qualifies as a "production" car it would be a neat challenge car (at maybe the $400-500 that it is more likely worth).

I was seeing something just above the dash of the King.  Looked like part of the blue one.

Hmm... Per Challenge rules, only parts that are on the car during competition count towards budget. So you could theoretically have multiple battery packs, and as long as you accounted for the most expensive one in your build, you could swap out packs between every autox or 1/4-mile run.

In reply to Pete Gossett :

This has been argued before and I believe the ruling was all the battery packs must be accounted for because all of the are used in competition. But a lithium battery set up would be light and charge much faster.

I've also thought about a capacitor bank. I'm pretty sure whiskey was involved.

I'm no electrical engineer but I'm not sold on the super-capacitors. They have potential for takeoff but outside of that, there seems to be no need for the added complexity.

Nissan leaf cells or the Fiat prismatics would probably fit this little thing the best. Cheap as chips, small, and without any heating or cooling elements could be tossed anywhere for weight distribution.

I was thinking more about fast charge times. Again I never thought it all the way to completion.
