My dad is selling his Cayman S through a consignment group, and I just wanted to give his car some attention here.  The car is very well maintained and documented. He's only selling because it has become only a track car for him and he doesn't drive it enough. If you have any questions, please let me know. My dad and I have done a lot of work to this car and all of the mechanical needs have been addressed.

2007 PORSCHE CAYMAN S

VIN: WP0AB29827U780265

99,385 MILES

This 2007 Porsche Cayman S is finished in midnight blue metallic with a stone gray leather interior. It is powered by a 295 horsepower 3.4 liter flat 6 cylinder engine connected to a 6 speed manual transmission. In stock form, the car will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 171 mph. This is a well equipped vehicle with an MSRP of $69,360.

Options include heated front seats, 19” Carrera S wheels, wheel caps with colored crests, automatic climate control, sport chrono package plus, Bose high end sound package, stone grey floor mats and bi-xenon headlamp package.

This is a special car. Although the car was in excellent condition when the current owner purchased it, he immediately put the car on jack stands from October 3, 2017 until February 7, 2018 and completely went through it, making the car like new plus adding some go fast upgrades. The end result is a mechanically and cosmetically outstanding street and track car. Importantly all of the work performed has been documented in extreme detail.

Notable upgrades include an improved new clutch and fly wheel, performance suspension, new racing shifter cables, Schnell short shift kit, Mahle air filter, NKG spark plugs, upgraded axle boots, FAG wheel bearings, stainless steel brake lines, a clear engine cover, Eibach Pro Kit springs, a deeper baffled sump anti-slosh oil pan, a third radiator, Ferodo racing brake pads and much more. Total cost for parts alone was $10,539. The end result is an extremely fun street car and a very competent track machine.

In addition, many extras come with the car including a hard wired dash cam, fire extinguisher, four spare wheels with aged out tires, 12 volt air compressor, an extra air/oil separator, the original engine cover, a hermetically sealed bag to store the car over the winter and miscellaneous extra parts.

This Cayman S is a real bargain, given the condition, modifications, extra parts and documentation that come with the car. It will appeal to two types of buyers. Its excellent and clean appearance along with all the maintenance should appeal to people who are looking for a cool street ride/canyon carver; it will also appeal to those looking for a fast, competent, and reliable track car. Best of all, it is priced very reasonably at only $28,900.

Oh man, I did not need to see this right now...

Take trade ins? I'd have to sell my 00 Boxster S to have money/room for this.

Another cross country fly and drive?  :)  I have a guest room.  You'll need to figure out a way to get the spare parts back. Not all of them will fit in the car.

It's so tempting! I really would need to sell the Boxster first though. Ugh, decisions!

2000 Boxster S, Silver/Blue/Blue, 6-speed manual. Has exactly 2 options - cruise and the 1-step from the bottom radio with the speakers in the rear deck. Finland build car. It weighs 2950 wet fully legal for C Street AX. Factory 18x8.5/10 wheels, StopTech track pads/new factory rotors, Koni Yellows, all new control arms, IMS updated, clutch replaced, lower mile transaxle swapped in, and a bunch of other maintenance. 145K miles, clean title, shines up okay but it's no show car.

If this car had sport seats and I had another parking spot, I'd be really interested.  It's almost my perfect 987, and I'm already on record saying the 987 is the car to buy.

Sport seats aren't hard to swap in. The side airbags live in the doors, not the seats.

SOLD!  Staying in our local PCA region, too!  Sold for asking price, no negotiation even.  Both parties were very happy.
