Wonder how they get the casket in & out?   Beautiful!

I'm thinking that the handle on the rear deck may flip the tailgate over to make a ramp?

I too was wondering how the casket is loaded.  From looking at all the pictures....

I think the L-shaped handle at the rear of the "trunk" opens the lid up and the second L-shaped handle at the forward of the trunk makes the whole trunk lid removable.  Then, the casket platform slides rearward to load and forward for proper placement.

This is odd though.  It would seem less than graceful to remove the entire trunk lid.  Then what, place the lid on the ground?

Even with the trunk lid removed it is still a significant reach to load over the "bulleted" rear bumper.

The bed slides.

The platform the casket rests on slides to the rear bumper, and it has rollers on its face, so the casket can roll onto it easily.

But I agree with you.. if the idea is to remove the entire trunk lid, it seems awkward.
