They also made some with the 6 cylinder, but don't think they imported them to the US. .
I wonder if there's some kind of annual Stag gathering in the US, and if so, I hope they call it the "Stag Party"?
I physically came across a Stag years ago ,never been a Triumph fan and that reinforced my beliefs ...though the Stag parties I attended were great fun !
Years ago a friend had one with a 327 swap. It still wouldn't run, but it looked nice. It used to sit next to his nice looking Lancia Scorpion. Pretty sure he was a masochist.

At one time, I had 5 of them. 5 Stags!
One had a 3.8 Buick drove it a lot,
a 327 GM - drove it some ut ended up replacing it with a 350,
one - a very early car - low number - was set up for Ford blown 302 - removed before I got it - I put a TR6 straight 6 with a non overdrive TR6 trans,
1 had the original V8 - removed before I got it - never dove it,
one had no engine - parts car.
