Up for sale today is my 1996 miata (with a torsen). It has somewhere around 165k on it, but I cant remember the exact miles and I don't have the car in front of me. The car has a lot of handling mods done to it and is a blast for anybody looking for a car to do that sort of thing with. I've owned the car since 2008 (back when I was a wee lad of 16) or so, and it was in the family (my father) for at least 5 years before that. I have to say out of every car I've ever owned it has by far been the most reliable. It had a heater core hose rot through about 10 years ago and the clutch slave cylinder went out 5 years ago, but besides that no problems. The exterior is probably the cars weakest area. It had a maaco repaint that is now a flat red/pink sort of deal. The car also had rear rocker rot that I tacked new metal in to replace, but never took the time to fully finish it off and make it look pretty. It's a solid 10 or 15 for car. This car though isn't about looking pretty, it's about turning, and it does that very well. Here is a list of what the car currently has done to it. Also note, the hardtop is a snug top and not an oem unit. This car is perfect for somebody who wants to add a roller and have a ready to go track toy. I don't want to get rid of it, but I moved for work and no longer have the space or time for it.
I'm thinking somewhere around $3500 (EDIT price is down to $3,000) for the car. If that's high feel free to make me an offer, if that seems low to you I'm also willing to accept offers over that if you are so inclined If you have any questions feel free to ask, and I'll update this as I remember other money... I mean parts... that I've put into this car.

Fair price, and you're close too. I wish I had the cash to pick it up, as I would like to pickup another miata (2 is not enough...) but currently the cash is depleted due to picking up the most recent miata.

Bring it to Hershey this weekend for one last blast and slap a for-sale sign on it!
Good deal but I have got to stop at two of these things for now.

Unfortunately I already have a 1996 Miata. What I need is a 1994 Miata.
Hey, I recognize some of those parking lots
Wish I had the money right now, fair price and close by.
Please somebody buy this. If you have any questions let me know. Also feel free to shoot me an offer, I won't be offended.

Crap. Just saw the A/C-delete comment.
Do you still have those parts?
In reply to Ian F:
No ac parts anymore. The lines leaked and the compressor made a horrible noise.

Please explain this.
In certain circles it's desirable because it is a 1.8, but still obd1.

I'm guessing OBD1 makes it more boost friendly?

Correct. My '96 is required to be fully OBD-II compliant to pass inspection. In Manic Mode, it is not even a little bit OBD-II compliant. If it was a 1994, it would not require a plug-in test, and I'd have a fighting chance of making a temporary tune that would pass a sniffer.

Ian:
I took the A/C out of my '96 car when I did the timing belt. I believe I still have the compressor and probably the lines in the basement, which I would let go for cheap. No noise from the compressor that I recall, but I didn't run the A/C a lot. I'll have to look and see if I still have the condensor.
I'm located in northern Delaware, probably 75-90 minutes southeast of York, PA.
I too have a complete AC system for a '97 sitting in the garage. I suspect there are quite a few around the country.
