Clearly from the school of, "if some is good, more is better."

In reply to Indy - Guy :
Three hours away from me and not the right day. I also expect it not to last through the day.
Since you two are the experts, how much should I ask for mine? 2009, base model, blue, 136k miles, new tires and 12v battery last year. Mechanically perfect, zero rust. Clear coat on roof is peeling badly, one door is wrinkled from a deer attack. I see prices from $4-9k. I'm thinking $6k is reasonable.
If the local market is $4-9k then $6k is probably a good start and will net you an offer of $5.5k or at least $5k.
How wrinkled is the door may be a factor. Vinyl car wrap would be my solution for the roof. White ala Mini Cooper will also have a cooling affect.
Now the question becomes would making these investments make the car sell for more? An entire door in the correct color could likely be had for $200. Vinyl wrap is probably less that $60
Thanks for the reply, John. I could fix everything correctly, but I don't think the ROI is there. Wrap is interesting, but I'm not sure it would adhere or look good without about as much work as respraying. Worth looking in to, Thanks!
Hey, Indy-Guy, I've got this great rust free Prius for sale. Needs a couple of easy cosmetic fixes, like a roof wrap and maybe a door, maybe not. It's the one you've been looking for. Only $6500!

A door swap is a an easy thing.
You're Four bolts and an electrical plug away from having a damage free body. Just swap in a correct color door and no paint work needed.
Then just hit the roof with a power washer to remove excess clear coat and a quick Plasti-Dip application.
You now have a retail ready car that will sell quickly.
You're welcome
