You guys know I love to buy cars, drive them for a while and move them on. I picked this one up and immediately decided it wasn't the direction I wanted to go. I was going to drive it daily to save gas money but changed my mind. I'm $2500 into it so that's the GRM price.
These things are super cool and quirky, can't remember the last time I saw one on the road.

I know of a red one in Atlanta. Two others are elsewhere in Georgia.
They are great cars and highly underappreciated. I own a 2000. GLWS.
Man, if it was the 5 speed version, I'd be making travel arrangements.
Good luck!
Nobody wants an ultra efficient car in the world of $4.00+/gallon gas?
There was a red one locally, owner was dismayed at the $4500 battery replacement cost and just parked it. I heard he was trying to sell it As-Is.
Love to drop in a sport bike engine and add lightness.
A used battery is about $350-$500 or a refurbished is about $1200.
It's perfectly drivable as is, just a bit slower and only gets 50-60mpg instead of 70
Make an offer, I need it gone

I'm now intrigued
What do you mean by "slower"? Also would it make it back to Charlotte NC?
Been looking for something to drive my e46 less. I feel commuting 6 mi round trip twice a week is not a good thing for my engine with cold starts. Thanks

Obviously I can't guarantee anything, but I see absolutely no reason it wouldn't make it to charlotte. It runs and drives perfectly fine. I'm not sure exactly how much power the battery added, but with the gas engine only it won't win a drag race. It is not dangerously slow, just leisurely. I had it cruising at 75 miles per hour with no problem.
Would you trade for my fat pig of a Crosstour that gets 18-20 MPG?
JK, GLWS.

Appreciate the info, after pricing replacement batteries, my offer would be way lower than asking. There's something appealing about those first gen insights though. Glws
In reply to Turbo_Rev :
Maybe, we could use something like that.

Sent you a DM!
I'm actually home for the weekend for once. If you're interested please let me know, would love to move it along

After hearing the radiator and rear brake quote from the shop for my e46, this is again appealing. I'm sure the buyer will enjoy this.
