What sort of trucky things is the wagon failing at? Im sort of torn between a full size wagon, or a small/medium pick up (Tacoma, ranger, Colorado...etc.) would prefer the wagon, but the truck might be more useful.  Thanks.

Can't push a motorcycle into the back of a wagon.

Better visibility (higher in the saddle) of a truck.

I want this, but for no good reason.

What's the tow capacity on this thing? Looking on etrailer I can't find a hitch over 1-1/4" w/ 350lb/3500lb tow weight, but it looks like the Caprice w/ the 350 was actually rated to 5k?

Same drivetrain as my full size Chevy pickup, so I assume 5k.  If I kept it I would go for air shocks in the back.

Tow rating should be 5k if it has the tow package (RPO V92) which I thought almost all wagons got.  Pretty sure most tow pack cars had air shocks but I could be wrong.

Wagons took a special hitch compared to the sedans.  I'm guessing it's like the Fleetwoods where no one makes a class 3 hitch for it off the shelf anymore so you're likely stuck with used/boneyard if you want a 2" hitch unless you'd like to weld up your own.  There are drawings out there if you'd like to roll your own.

Knowing the speedo is off to the low side (aka you're going faster than it says) I'd look at what gears are in it before towing too much weight.  Sounds like it may have had the economy gears swapped in.  Tow pack cars should be 2.93 and most had posi, supposedly some had 3.23s.

Off the other way, it reads 10-20 mph higher than actual.  Did the nylon gear thing on a Dodge once, I understand this one is driven via sensors.

Ah, my mistake, read the post-it backwards.
