This would be a fun swap. Wonder if the XT6 5-speed would hold up to the 100 extra hp?

How many times do I need to say that 3.3L doesn't need to go in the LMP360 to convince myself not to Email..

I'll hold it for you. They bolt right up to EJ trans. Wreck Racing won the Challenge with that combo in 2017.
Been making some calls. Both sellers are legit. Apparently the XT6 just fired up the other day and still drives. Uh oh. And the SVX seller says it would definitely drive home and runs great. Uh oh.
I have driven a 3.3L powered XT6 on the Tail of the Dragon. It was a riot.
I was able to keep up with an NSX. He'd pull away in the straights, but I'd catch him in the curves. Every time.
Yes, it had the original XT6 5 spd. Yes, it bolts right up.
It was one of the most fun vehicles I have ever driven.
I was waiting for you pipe up. And I was hoping you'd say it won't work, it's a bad idea, etc etc. That sounds so awesome.
BTW, a 3.3L powered XT6 is exactly the car I would have built for my 2nd Challenge car (in 2005). I never found one budget worthy.

What I remember is they had a weird shifter, steering wheel, and cockpit in general; and some models had suspension that would raise & lower.
In reply to Pete Gossett (Forum Supporter) :
That's correct. The cockpit was much more like an airplane than a car.

They were rare even new and you were like what 2 when they came out?
I was born in 89
This one has the air ride, but apparently it's broken from sitting too long.
I'm going to see it tonight. May need to exercise my AAA card.

Doesn't matter. You don't want the air ride. It was a novelty. You want new coil overs.
And you probably want to lower it. They sat pretty high.
Y'all talking about swapping the good engine into the XT6...I'm over here thinking about what engine to put in the leftover SVX roller when you're done.
I could do the inverse swap to the donor and have two running challenge cars sharing the same budget.

It wouldn't be much fun. To build or to drive.
I've had 5 SVXii. I won't say it's impossible, but it sure seems like it would be.
